Dear Principal, teachers and students,
It is truly heartwarming to gather here with all of you today for our Christmas celebration. As we prepared for this event, our community was still deeply affected by the recent Wang Fuk Court fire. Amid such sadness, it was difficult to celebrate in the usual way. That is why this year, we chose to mark the season in a simpler yet more meaningful manner — with fewer material gifts but richer exchanges of heart and spirit.
Today’s Dress Casual Day is not only a time to relax and enjoy each other’s company, but also an opportunity to express our care for those who are suffering. By raising funds for the victims of the Wang Fuk Court fire, we stand with them in solidarity while sharing the joy of welcoming the birth of our Saviour.
As I watch you sing and celebrate with such enthusiasm and energy, I cannot help but feel proud. The warmth of your voices and the kindness in your hearts truly reflect the real meaning of Christmas — being together, supporting one another, and sharing hope and love.
This celebration has been made possible through the dedication and teamwork of the Student Union, House representatives, Campus TV, student helpers, their teacher advisors, and every participant involved. It stands as a shining example of true collaboration and camaraderie. Thank you!
As Christmas approaches, may each of you feel deeply the peace and joy that come from God. And may we all respond to the Diocese’s call to be “Messengers of Hope” — walking with faith, hope, and love, and bringing that hope to others, especially those in need.
God bless you all and thank you for making today such a wonderful celebration.
Wishing you a Christmas blessed with hope, joy and peace!
